Well, I'm not lawyer so I don't know about that. But I've never been sued either. Ultimately we're promoting the films and giving free publicity, I don't think Hollywood is that fussed.

You can also reach out to studios and distributors for images (which I sometimes do) — they all have marketing departments, and their emails are usually easy to find. But doing so can take a long time and you won't always get a reply.

You can also adjust the search tools in Google to find license-free images.

However, I can't offer legal or copyright advice, you've got to do what is right for you. I'd be very surprised if you get a complaint for promoting a movie — but if you do, they'll probably just ask you to remove the image.

If you're really worried about copyright, then research the laws in your country/state.
