🍿74: Past Lives (Part 1)
This week: 5 very different trailers and Jack Black's plea to Led Zeppelin for School of Rock 🎸
“The world will break your heart ten ways to Sunday. That’s guaranteed.”
~ Silver Linings Playbook, 2012
Sorry to disappoint…
This week’s feature film, Past Lives, is sadly not going to be featured this week.
It’s not the first time that scheduling conflicts and confusion have disrupted the Salty Popcorn’s review rota (and it probably won’t be the last), but the only showing of Past Lives in my area last week was exclusively available to Cineworld Unlimited customers.
For those that go to the cinema a lot, such a membership is well worth the money. If Vue did the same thing, I’d sign up in a heartbeat — on account of it being less than 10 minutes from my home, as opposed to 35 minutes to Cineworld.
So, unfortunately, there’s no review this week. To make up for this shortcoming, there’ll be a bonus issue of SP next week with the Past Lives review. In the meantime, we’ve got trailers for five very different films to keep you occupied — and all of them look great!
Let us know which film you’re most looking forward to by voting below:

Fact of the week
Led Zepplin have a history of not letting their songs be used in films, so School of Rock director Richard Linklater asked Jack Black to make a plea, which he did, in front of a live audience, and it worked.
